Ren Rong made a report and shared information

From September 23rd to 24th, as representatives of the Chinese economy, Li Junkai, Secretary-General of ZGC Global High-Level Think Tank Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Think Tank Alliance"), and Ren Rong, Director of the Secretariat Office of the Think Tank Alliance, were invited to participate in the meeting of APEC-DIWA Workshop held in Manila, Philippines. The meeting was hosted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Philippines. It was attended by more than 80 representatives, including Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, Deputy Minister of the Department of Information and Communications Technology of the Philippines, President of De La Salle University in the Philippines, Robert C. Roleda, and representatives from APEC economies such as United States, Japan, ·Malaysia, Mexico, Chile, Papua New Guinea, etc. 

As a project leader of the fund of APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI), Li Junkai delivered a keynote report entitled "Analysis of Policy Frameworks and Strategies Affecting Women's Participation in ICT". She also had a dialogue with representatives from Chile and the Philippines on the theme of "Policy Frameworks for Enhancing Women's Participation and Development in ICT". Ren Rong made a report entitled "Best Practices for Promoting Women's Inclusion in ICT" and represented the posters.

In the report, Li Junkai shared the importance of policy frameworks for enhancing women's participation and development in the field of ICT, summarized the policies of Asia-Pacific economies for promoting women's participation in ICT, and put forward policy recommendations to increase women's participation in ICT in the Asia-Pacific region from five perspectives: platform construction, influence improvement, career development, policy support and humanistic care. Ren Rong shared China's successful strategies and measurements to improve women's participation in ICT. She also discussed the challenges women face when participating in ICT and methods of coping.

This participation of the Think Tank Alliance is an important activity to further give its voice to the economies and represent its research outcomes on the international stage. It has strengthened communication and cooperation with institutions in Asia-Pacific economies, broadened the international cooperation network of the Think Tank Alliance, further enhanced the international influence of the Think Tank Alliance, and laid a solid foundation for promoting the deep integration of gender equality and scientific and technological innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.
